Groups can be a very helpful place to connect and experience healing benefits from obtaining mutual support, mutual respect, and to hear perspectives different from your own. Upbringing, race, ethnicity, culture, age, family of origin and relationship history all contribute to how we relate to ourselves and each other. It can be helpful to unpack individual goals together in group therapy.
